Webtrends - web analytics platform
‘Webtrends’ has unveiled its web analytics platform 9th version. The 9th version has 3 new features
1. Selective RSS overlay to match site activity with keywords.
2. To export data, it can generate URI and REST urls and can embed it in excel spreadsheets and applications.
3. The entire analytics report will automatically turn into story view for use in emails, reports and presentations.
The reason behind webtrends being in the first place and a good competitor of Google and Yahoo is, Google and Yahoo works for website owners and consumer web analytics with JavaScript, flash and colorful interfaces.
Webtrends 9 does not use flash, it uses only HTML, CSS and Javascript. Moreover once the user system has turned off JavaScript it will downgrade without losing any functionality. ‘Webtrends’ is mainly focusing on the enterprise market and gives different metrics and greater security to fulfill entrepreneurs’ needs and is less graphically inclined.
